How to Create Google Custom Search Engine For Blogger?

Every Blogger Template has it's own custom search box.These Search Boxes by default are limited  to their ability of searching every word of your blog but Google Custom Search Engines are the best solution to use that are extremely efficient in showing off your most important data of your blog to your visitors.This increases
your blog or page views because readers search more
and read more and more.......


Other benefit of adding this search engine to your blog
is that it can easily integrate your Google Adsense.




How to create a custom google custom search engine?




  1. Go to this link
  2. Click Create custom search engine button
  3. Fill the form as shown below:






























  • Then click Next button Choose design according to your needs You can click Customize button to edit colors and look


  • Hit the  Next button and then click Look and Feel  link as shown below :





It will bring you to a new page where you can select any layout 

  • If you wish to add this just below the post then select Full-width
  • If you wish to add this and show results at sidebar   then choose Compact
  • Else if you wish to add your search box to your sidebar and display the search results above the post title then choose Two Column
At last just click Save & Get Code .

Add It just below the  posts


To add this Just below your post follow the simple steps given below:
  • Go to Blogger > Design > Edit HTML
  • First Back up your template
  • Check the box Expand Widgets Template
  • Search For <data:post.body>         (by pressing CTRL+F)
  • Just below it post your Google Search Box Code (FULL WIDTH)
  • Save And You are Done!

Add IT to Your Sidebar

  • Go To Blogger > Design
  • Choose a HTML/ JavaScript Widget
  • Paste your Sidebar Search Engine Code (Compact or Two Column) in it
  • Save and you are done!
  • View your blog to see it working just fine


Note:Changing your default search box to Google Custom Search Engine Box is an important step that you must take as early as possible. You will see the difference in your analytics the next week.
