A blog is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites. You can also use it for making money online or as your daily diary etc.

There are many websites over the internet which offer you a free blog but some of the top sites are listed here such as wordpress, blogger, live journal etc. My suggestion is to use Blogger.Com to get a free, flexible, professional and easy controlled blog. To get your blog, simply follow the simple steps below:

1. Go to Blogger.Com and sign in with your gmail account, or if you have not then create one.
2. Click "create a blog" link to start creating your blog.
3. Fill the fields Blog Title, Blog Address and Image Verification Code and the click Continue.
4. Now select a theme / template for your blog and click Continue. (you can also change / edit it later)
Congratulations! Your blog is ready, now you can start posting things or edit your template.
